Designing a Bathroom - What You Need to Think About

Designing a Bathroom - Checklist
One of the hardest rooms to design is the bathroom. Whether you’re creating a brand-new bathroom or renovating an existing one, there are many design factors to consider.
First things first: layout. Bathroom design is all about making the best use of the space you have available. Choose a layout that makes the most sense for the space and your needs. Some of the most popular modern bathroom ideas include jack and jill sinks, standalone bathtubs, and dark fixtures.
Dealing with a small space? No worries! There are tons of small bathroom ideas to make the room feel bigger. Items such as glass shower doors, a frameless mirror, and tile that goes the length of the wall can make a small bathroom feel more spacious.
Next, choose a style and colour palate. The bathroom is a place to relax and unwind. You don’ want to design a room that feels dark or cluttered. In creating a modern bathroom, embrace clean lines, light or neutral colours for paint and tile, and proper lighting.
You’ll also want to pick out a Bathroom vanity, tile, lighting, plumbing fixtures (ie. taps, towel bars, shower valves.), and other items. And don’t forget to choose a new shower enclosure, bathtub, and toilet.
While you may be tempted to buy all of these things online, the best way to go about starting your project is with a trip to a local showroom. Being able to see the countertops or tile that you plan to use in your bathroom gives you peace of mind that you’re making the right decision.
Pictures can be deceiving, which is why working with an internet only retailer isn’t the best option, especially for a project as expensive as a new bathroom.
Take the time to view your choices in person so that you can feel confident in your bathroom design.
